Fixed Garage Door Window - Square Cross, 4 Lite with Plexiglass

I didn’t use the inserts I had bought the first couple widows without and when I went to order more they were out of stock so I bought ones with inserts and just took them out. Looks great no painting needed

I plan to install another on the other side of my garage door but I did this one first. It was not an exact fit to my panel size, but it worked. I used a multitool to score the perimeter of the cut and then a hacksaw blade on my sawzall to cut around. Used tape to hold the front frame in place while I put the back in while sandwiching the glass. The whole installation took me less than an hour. I did not find anything else on Amazon that was similar to this. No screws showing on the outside since the back frame holds everything in place. Will also calk the perimeter and use insulation foam where my sawzall cut was crooked.

Making the inside 3/8" bigger was a little tricky, I didn't have my good snips with me, I used my die grinder. They look very nice in the door.

Previous review said it all looks great and adds lots of light to my garage and kitchen.

just what i needed

The window were relatively easy to install. I don't really have anything I disliked about them. I like the light that shines in now through those garage windows.

These are made to fit a door about 5/8 thick. Had to make a spacer but looks good. Definitely not plug and play took about 4 hours. Next one maybe two. Came with only 2 screws needed 8

These come in several pieces and it seems like they could have been designed for better ease of use, but, for the price they are a great deal if you are fairly handy. You can make them fit most any thickness wall or door. The glass is plexiglass and 2 of mine came scratched but it's hard to tell. I used construction adhesive to attach the plexiglass to the frame section then installed them.

These look good and have held up well as installed in my garage door. The installation is a little tough, there's not much room for error with the opening, a little too small and it won't fit, a little too big and there's a gap. Also, the screws provided are terrible; the heads strip easily and it's hard to put enough pressure on the them to remedy this. It definitely could use some improvement. Bolts would probably work better and last longer. Overall took a few hours to install (4). Door width is important, if it is too thin, there will be play in the window. Overall would recommend this product.

I really love these windows and would have given them 5 start, BUT, I thought they could be installed in my garage door without modification. Wrong, you must have spacers. If you measure from the lip on the front of the window to the lip on the back it is over an inch. Unless your garage door is over an inch thick this window will not work without spacers. I purchased the garage door insulation kit and it worked perfect. The lip on the front fits against the front of the garage door and the lip on the back of the window fits against the insulation. Now, one more thing. You will, of course need to cut a hole in you garage door to install the window. Then if you cut the insulation to match the hole for the front of the window you will not be able to install the back half of the window as it is significantly larger then the hole and it will not fit into the insulation until you make the hole in the insulation larger. I simply cut the insulation at an angle, using the hole I cut for the window, from the outside, thus making the hole on the inside larger and the window fit perfectly. If I was giving stars to just the windows I would give them 5 stars. They are really nice windows.

It's was easy to install and the quality is great. I will be ordering more when they are restocked.
