Fixed Garage Door Window - Sunburst with Plexiglass

Well made and attractive. Does have a bit of a plastic look to it so I would say that painting these is a must. Is well made and frame seems sturdy so don't think that long term it will crack or shift from the garage door moving up and down repeatedly. Definitely worth the cost and makes a bland garage door look substantially better.

The cut out of 19-1/4 x 12-1/8 inches are only for the outside half.Inside half requires a cut out of 19-15/16 x 12-7/8 inches. (20 x13 actually works better)

Important note. I saw some people commenting the there are two sized holes to cut, the larger one on the outside of the garage. This will be the case if you instal them wrong. The fasteners should be on the inside of the garage door. When the product arrives, they will have been assembled backwards, i think for shipping purposes. You need to flip the parts around when you re-assemble, the larger cut if you choose to make two, will be on the inside.Just finished installing 8 of these on my garage door. The toughest part is getting the holes cut. I was using a jig saw with a metal cutting blade (home depot sells a pack of Ryobi blades long enough to cut through the entire door). A resipricating saw would cut quicker but the jig saw has more control. I had a hard time with the awkward position operating a saw over my head while trying to follow lines and make things square. By the time i got to the 5th hole i was getting good at it, lol. Once the holes were cut the windows were easy to instal but definitely require two people. One person on the outside to place the window while a person on the inside installs a couple fasteners to hold it in place.Once all fasteners are in, everything is nice and snug and fit together well. Very happy with the appearance and the light we now get in the garage. The space has a completely different feel now.I was sort of disapointed with having plexiglass for windows, but I think glass would break as the door shifts and moves around.
